Show Jumping Competitions in Dubai On Nov. 14, 15

The week-end Show Jumping competitions will be held at the Emirates Equestrian Centre in Dubai on November 14 and 15, 2008. It will be held at the sand arena of the Equestrian Centre, which is organizing the event in cooperation with the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation.

The competitions will have seven categories from Class 1 to Class 7. Class 1 for D riders, and Class 2 for C2 riders, Class 3 for B2 riders and Class 4 for A2 riders will he held on November 14 and will begin at 4 pm.

Saturday will feature competitions for Class 5 for C1 riders, Class 6 for B1 riders and Class7 for A1 riders and the competitions will again begin at 4 pm. Apart from the allocated prize amount, the UAE Federation will be handling over a special prize of Dh 5,000 for the winner of Class A for A1 riders.

The officials for the Championship include Ms. Lisa Hareb (Jury President), Khalil Ibrahim and Ms. Christine Gruber (Judges), Ali Mujaher and Abdul Raouf (NF Stewards) and Atif Shawky (NF Course Designer).

The show jumping competitions are organized by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation during weekends in the cooler months of the year and held in various riding venues including Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Emirates Equestrian Centre, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, Ajman Equestrian Club and Ras Al Khaimah Equestrian Club.

It is important to mention here that the UAE is the only country in the region with both a national circuit of weekly shows and also full international Tour of FEI competitions. Facilities afforded to the riders are compliant with those recommended by FEI. The arenas, fences and the management of the shows are truly of the highest standard. Because of this the riders are presented with the best of facilities through which they can fully realize their potential.
