Boudthib endurance ride For Young & Junior Riders

Day to feature two Federation Qualifiers - 29 Nov 2005

The Boudthib Endurance Village, Al Khatem, Abu Dhabi, will play host for three endurance rides on Thursday, December 1, 2005. The rides are organized by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation.

As many 25 endurance riders are likely to participate in the 100-km, CEI, Two-star Boudthib Endurance Cup for Young & Junior Riders. The ride will be run in four loops of 30 km, 30 km, 24 km and 16 km respectively. Pre-ride inspection will be held on the same day from 5 am to 6 am and the ride is expected to be flagged off at 6.30 am. There will also be a Best Conditioned Horse competition.

Sixty four riders will be taking part in the 76-km Federation Qualification Ride which will be run in three phases of 30 km, 30 km, and 16 km respectively. Pre-ride inspection for this qualifier will also be held on the same day at 5 am and the ride will begin at 7 am. The day will also feature a 46-km Federation Qualifier for which 76 riders have confirmed their participation. The ride will be run in two stages of 30 km and 16 km respectively. With the pre-ride inspection scheduled to be held at 5 am, this second qualifier will be flagged off at 7.30 am.

The Federation organizes Qualifiers at regular intervals to help riders and horses to qualify themselves to ride in higher category rides.

The Boudthib Endurance Village, which is part of the Emirates Heritage Club, is the second endurance village in Abu Dhabi and the third in the UAE.

The Emirates Heritage Club is closely involved in the development of several traditional and cultural activities and sports in the country, including endurance riding. The club also provides vital training facilities for children in the UAE and the opening of its modern and excellently planned endurance village is being welcomed by the equestrian fraternity as an important step in the development and teaching of endurance riding in the UAE.

Boudthib is located past Al Wathba on the left side of the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain highway. One can also reach the Boudthib endurance Village from different emirates by following these directions:
From Abu Dhabi- On Al Ain Road at exit for Zayed Military City, turn left and follow signs.
From Dubai- On Abu Dhabi Road at Al Mafraq Bridge take exit to Al Ain Road and continue up to exit for Zayed Military City, turn left and follow signs.
From Al Ain- On Abu Dhabi Road at Al Khatem Bridge exit right and follow signs.

Show Jumping competitions in Abu Dhabi
Suwaidi from Ajman Steals the show -

Mohammed R. Al Suwaidi from the Ajman Equestrian Club earned a double riding brilliantly on horse Matahab to clinch the first place in the Class 8 :A1 One Round With Jump-off and the second place in the Class 1: A2 Show Jumping Championships held on November 23 and 24, 2005, at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club. He took 62.17 seconds and 76.63 seconds respectively to finish the rounds. The two-day events featured 10 categories catering to all types of riders, including Children's Clear Round Jumping and Junior's Clear Round Jumping. The competitions were organized by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation.

In A1 category second place went to Abdul Rahman Al Habsi, riding Family Du Montois from the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club. He finished the rounds in 73.41 seconds.

Mohammed Al Kumaiti from the Ajman Equestrian Club, riding Ivamantis, finished first in another category of equal importance, Class 1-A1 in a timing of 63.50 seconds. Mohammed Al Owais from the same club finished third in this category riding Matahab (76.63 seconds).

Class 7-A2, B1 (One Round with Jump-Off) (Section A)
1st place: Abdullah Humaid, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club (Tip Top, 35.69 seconds))
2nd place: Mohammed Al Owais, Al Safanat Stables, (Centurio, 35.98 seconds)
3rd place: Ahmed Ameen, Ajman equestrian Club, (Al Mutamaken, 38.71 seconds)

Section B:
1st place: Nadia Taryam, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club ( Coralle 26, 34.67 seconds)
2nd place: Abdullah Al Marri, Emirates Riding Centre (Ultra Marine, 35.54 seconds)
3rd place: Bader Al Zaabi, Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, (Icard Des Bois, 39.45 seconds)

Class 2 B2
1st place: Rashid AL Hosani, Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, (Gitane, 58.78 seconds)
2nd place: Nadia Taryam, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, (Coralle 26, 60.23 seconds)
3rd place: Abdul Rahman Al Kaabi, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, (N99 Gedconti, 73.95 seconds)

Class 6: C1 (One Round with Jump Off)
1st place: Ahmed Nabeel Falaknaz, Al Safanat Stables, (Bashair, 41.19 seconds)
2nd place: Mohammed Al Nowais, Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, ( Jeune Boy, 51.71 seconds)
3rd place: Michelle Woolmer, Zabeel Stables, (Oh Baby, 53.95 seconds)

Class 3: C2
1st place: Salim A. Al Suwaidi, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, (Suzuki RatKerani, 49.13 seconds)
2nd place: Ahmed Nabeel Falaknaz, Al Safanat Stables (Bashair, 54.45 seconds)
3rd place: Sheikh Ali A. Al Qassimi, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, (Clam De Jonas, 55.47 seconds)

The Show Jumping competitions will be next held at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club on December 1 and 2, 2005. The UAE Equestrian Federation organizes show jumping competitions every weekend during the winter in different parts of the Emirates including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.
