Sheikha Latifa wins yet Another competition
Sheikh Ali A. Al Qassimi wins FEI Children's competition

Sheikha Latifa Al Maktoum from Emirates Riding Centre continued her winning spree by clinching the first place at the show jumping competitions held during the weekend at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club. Riding Kalaska, Sheikha Latifa put up a brilliant display to emerge victorious in the Class 8: A1 category (One Round with Jump-Off) in 76.45 seconds. She also got the second place in the Class 7: B1, A2 category, riding Cover's Pride.
Also in full form on the day was Mohammed Al Kumaiti from Ajman Equestrian Club. Kumaiti finished first in the Class 7: B1, A2 category riding Royal Lady, finished second in the Class 8: A1 riding Al Mutawakel, and got the first and third place in Class 3: B1, A2 category riding Al Mutamaken and Matahab respectively.
In the FEI Children's International Show Jumping Qualifying Competition (Section A), held in the same venue, Sheikh Ali A. Al Qassimi from Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, won the first place. Riding Clam De Jonas, Qassimi finished four rounds in 61.95 seconds with nine faults. Hisah Ali Al Shamsi finished first in the Section B competition of the same category. Shamsi, also from the Sharjah Equestrian Club, was riding Fundy and finished four rounds in 72.32 seconds with eight faults.
The competitions were being sponsored by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation. Those who qualified in these competitions will be participating in the 2006 FEI Children's International Jumping Competition to be held in Spruce Meadows, Canada from October 23 to October 28. The competitions exclusively featured children aged between 12 and 14. As many as 32 children selected from all over the world will take part in these final competitions.
The two-day event also featured several other jumping competitions. Following are some of the results:
CLASS 3: "B1" riders: 1st place: Abdul Rahman Al Habsi, Family do Montois, Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, 2nd place: Abdullah Al Zaabi, Granada, Emirates Heritage Club, 3rd place: Abdul Rahman Al Ka'abi, Jeudi de la Chenee, Sharjah Equestrian Club.
CLASS 7: B1, A2 (section "A2"): 1st place: Sheikh Majid Al Qassimi, Kalyso des Bois, Sharjah Equestrian Club, 2nd place: Ali Al Kumaiti, Salsabeel, Ajman Equestrian Club, 3rd place: Sheikh Shakhboot Al Nahyan, Cool Fox, Emirates Heritage Club.
CLASS 2: C1, B2 (Two phases "C1" Riders): 1st place: Saif Sultan Dhahi, Ariel de Utllers, Wafi Safa Stables, 2nd place: Salem K. Al Suwaidi, Heros de Sede, Sharjah Equestrian Club, 3rd and 4th places: Sheikh Shakhboot Al Nahyan, Emirates Heritage Club, Cool Fox and Dhabyaniya respectively.
"B2" Riders: 1st and 3rd places: Hamad Al Kirbi, Sharjah Equestrian Club, Genial IV and Henreb, 2nd place: Nadia Taryam, Sharjah Equestrian Club, Coralle 26.

FEI Children’s Jumping qualifiers In Sharjah

The FEI Children’s International Show jumping qualifying competitions will be held at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club on April 27 and 28, 2006. It is being sponsored by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation. Those who qualify in these competitions will be eligible to participate in FEI Children’s International Jumping Competition 2006. The competitions are exclusively for children aged between 12 and 14.
The first day of the event will feature Class 1 (FEI Children’s competitions), Class 2: B2 C1, and Class 3: B1, A2, category competitions and the will start at 4 pm. On the second day the competitions begin at 8.30 am. The day will witness competitions in Class 4: D (Clear Round Jumping), Class 5 (FEI children’s competition), Class 6: C1, B2, Class 7: B1, A2 and Class 8 A1 category competitions.
As many as 32 children selected from all over the world will take part in the final show jumping competitions to be held at the end of this year.
The Ground Jury is being presided over by Mr. Paul de Benedictis with Mr. Khalil Ibrahim and Ms. Christine Gruber as members. Lt. Col. Ronnie MacMahon is the National Federation Representative and the course is designed by Mr. Atif Shawky Ziri assisted by Mr. Abdul Raouf. Mr. Kamal Ziri is the National Federation Steward with Dr. C.V. Niranjan being the veterinary delegate.

Sheikha Latifa wins Show Jumping Grand Prix in Dubai

Sheikha Latifa Al Maktoum from the Emirates Riding Centre won the week-end’s Show Jumping Grand Prix at the Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club. Sheikha Latifa was riding Quidam’s Pride and finished the One Round with Jump-off event with no faults in a timing of 83.24 seconds.
The Grand Prix, sponsored by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, was held as part of the official launch of the Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club by Emaar Properties and the company hosted four-day polo and show jumping activities which began on April 19 and concluded on April 22.The prize money on offer is Dh 15,000.
Second place in the Grand Prix went to Mufta Al Dhaheri from Ghantoot. Riding Ikea 3, he finished the round in 81.18 seconds but registered four faults. Mohammed Al Kumaiti from Ajman Equestrian and Racing Centre clinched the third and fourth places astride Al Mutamaken and Al Mutawakel.
The competitions were held under the patronage of Princess Haya Bint Al Hussain, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The competitions, featuring international and professional players, were held at the DPEC grounds with Emaar’s Arabian Ranches development. The competitions were part of the Club’s initiative to officially inaugurate the world class equestrian facilities offered in the premises.
