Sheikha Latifa Al Maktoum, star at the recently concluded Asian Games in Doha, proved her credibility yet again by bagging the first place at the Show Jumping competitions held during the weekend at the Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club.

Riding Quidam's Pride, Sheikha Latifa cleared Class 10: A1 category (One Round with Jump-Off) in 85.84 seconds with no faults and put up a classic display.

She was followed by Arif Ahmed Al Ahli for the second place who was riding Peter V.D and took a time of 81.84 seconds but with four faults. Both the jumpers are from the Emirates Equestrian Club.

In another competition of equal significance, Class 8: B, A2 (One Round with Jump-Off), Abdul Rahman Al Ka'abi from the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club finished first in 39 seconds and no faults. He was riding N99Gedconti. Second place went to Theresa Krapf from Ajman Equestrian Club who cleared the rounds in 43.33 seconds riding Tayson 17. Hamad Ali Al Kirbi and Abdul Rahman Al Habsi, from Sharjah Equestrian Club and Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club finished third and fourth riding Genial IV and Quinta respectively. As many as 49 jumpers took part in this competition.

The competitions were organized by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation.
