Vitella wins Abu Dhabi Championship Race in Newmarket Sheikh Khalifa's horse finishes third

Vitella, ridden by O. Trigodet, clinched the Abu Dhabi International Championship (Group I) races, held at the Newmarket Racecourse, Great Britain, on Tuesday, September 21, 2004. The horse is owned by M.Y. Olantin and trained by Richard Litt.

The race was the culmination of a series of races held during the year in many part of Europe, North America, Canada and Egypt as part of the His Highness President of the UAE Prize for Pure-bred Arabian horses.

Aikido Vege, ridden by C. Lowther, owned by C. Nibbering and trained by Ms. K. Van Den Bos, finished second.

El Waled, owned by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, finished third. It was ridden by C. Nora and trained by J.P. Totain.
