Aachen, Germany: The UAE team advanced to the final stage of the Aachen Amateur Showjumping Grand Prix on Saturday.

The UAE's top performer was Ahmad Amin. Riding Kurtysse Ameen stole the limelight to finish first in the Werbeagentur Peter Heinrich Der after clocking 54:49 seconds over fences set at 1.30metres.

The President of the UAE Challenge Derby for Pure-bred Arabian horses kick started for the season with the inaugural race at Jagersro Racing Club in Sweden on Sunday, May 18, 2008. The race, sponsored by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, was run over a distance of 1,730 metres on dirt track and offered prize money of 14,000 Euros.

Annual veterinary meeting on May 7

The UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation will be holding the annual End of Season Veterinary Meeting on May 7, 2008 at Sheraton Hotel, Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi. The course, which will be chaired by Head of Veterinary department Dr. Hallvard Sommerseth, will start at 11 in the morning and conclude at 3pm.

Topics which will come up for discussion include a review of the 2007-2008 endurance season, plans for the coming season, 21-day national rule, veterinary control in endurance season and several other endurance-related issues including whether there could be any modifications for the new season.

Those interested in attending the meeting should register with the veterinary department of the Federation by April 17, 2008.

Having received the independent laboratory reports on MCP Tests in respect of horse "Secret d'Amour" and horse "Matahab" the NF has accepted that the "Persons Responsible" (Art 129.1), namely Mr. Abdullah Al Mari and Mr. Mohammed Al Suwaid, have contravened NF Rules, incl. Art 120 and Annex B.
